Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, The Freshwater Trust wants to assure you that it is committed to maintaining a safe and healthy workplace and is taking measures to protect employees and their families from contracting and spreading COVID-19.

Mandatory Vaccinations
Consistent with the CDC’s guidance and other applicable public health guidance, to prevent the infection and spread of COVID-19, and as an integral part of its public health and safety measures, The Freshwater Trust requires that all employees, including temporary workers and interns, for whom the COVID-19 vaccine is authorized by the FDA, get vaccinated against COVID-19 and show proof of an FDA-approved COVID-19 vaccination, unless an exemption from this policy has been granted as an accommodation.

Office Attendance
Full-time office attendance is not required, and it is understood that employees are likely to have a hybrid schedule of in-office and at-home work. Schedules will continue to be flexible to accommodate our employees’ preferred working environment.

The Freshwater Trust believes in investing in our employees, their health, and their future through our benefits offerings. Our total rewards package includes health and dental coverage, automatic employer retirement contributions, and cell phone reimbursement. Because we are all in, we value getting out, and support our staff with 5 weeks of paid time off plus over 10 paid holidays per year. We also offer perks such as staff retreats, sabbatical for full-time staff after seven years, and professional development opportunities.

Health Benefits
The Freshwater Trust offers comprehensive, flexible benefits to our eligible employees and their families. Employees must work full-time (30 hours per week) to be eligible for benefits.

• The Freshwater Trust contributes towards the monthly premium for Medical, Vison, Dental coverage, with multiple plans to select from.
• Flexible Spending Accounts are available for both healthcare and dependent care.
• Supplemental coverage plan offerings include Short-Term Disability, Accident, Critical Illness & Term Life Policies.

PTO
Full-time regular employees of The Freshwater Trust are eligible to accrue 16.67 hours of PTO per month for a total of 25 days (200 hours). After two full years of employment, full-time regular employees are eligible to accrue PTO at 20 hours per month for a total of 30 days (240 hours). Regular employees working less than 40 hours per week will have pro-rated PTO benefits.

401k
The Freshwater Trust offers a 401k plan to all employees working 1,000 hours or more per year. The Freshwater Trust contributes the equivalent of five percent (5%) of the employee’s gross salary to their 401k account every pay period. This amount is subject to change. Employees may also choose to contribute additional funds to their 401k plan via a payroll deduction consistent with applicable law and plan rules.
