Grande Ronde | The Freshwater Trust

In this basin, the Wallowa, Grande Ronde, and Imnaha rivers flow from the Wallowa Mountains to the Snake River.
It is the historic homeland of the Chief Joseph band of the Nez Perce Tribe.
The dominate economies are ranching, agriculture and forest products.
The Zumwalt Prairie lies within the Grande Ronde basin, and supports the highest density of raptors like hawks and osprey in Oregon.
