With backgrounds in both stream ecology and community development, Christy Meyer understands the ecological, social and economic facets of stream restoration.  In Oregon, she has researched native fish ecology and designed stream restoration and community engagement plans.  Prior to this Christy was a project manager for a nonprofit working in Africa and Southeast Asia.  This was inspired by her first job - a small business development consultant for the Peace Corps.  At The Freshwater Trust, Christy provides programmatic oversight to ensure restoration success and researches opportunities to expand the scale of water quality trading.  Christy has a master’s degree in environmental sciences, a graduate certificate in sustainable natural resources and an undergraduate degree in business.
